ECUflash software for Tactrix Openport 2.0 wrx from obd2tuning.com should be worked on windows XP operating system, but some Openport diagnostic cable users have achieved it work on Windows 7 O / S.
Equipment:
Tactrix Openport 2.0 Tactrix Tuning wrx + ECU flash from obd2tuning.com:
A laptop running Win 7 32 bit / 64 bit O / S
OBD2Tuning.com Tactrix Tuning wrx Tactrix openport 2.0 wrx V2.0 Tactrix cable wrx instruction:
1) Install Java on computer
Click Start
Select Control Panel
Select Programs-> Uninstall a program
After load lists of programs, uninstall Java
Restart the computer
Download the latest 32 bit Java runtime from here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/inc/windows_upgrade_xpi.jsp
Right click “jxpiinstall.exe” and select “Run as administrator”
Follow the system windows prompts
Restart the computer once complete install Java
2) Uninstall Openport 2.0 driver software
Connect the Openport OBD diagnostic interface with computer
Click Start-> Computer-> Properties-> Device Manager
The Openport cable icon is listed under “Ports”. Right click it and select Uninstall
When the system pops out the message, select Delete the driver software for this device
Click OK to uninstall the Openport 2.0 driver software
Disconnect the Openport 2.0 cable from the computer (Do not keep it plugged in and do not plug it back until directed)
Restart the computer
3) Uninstall ECUflash
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
For Windows 7 64bit:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \
For Windows 7 32bit:
C: \ Program Files \
Delete “OpenECU” folders if present
Restart the computer
Download this version of ECUflash
http://tactrix.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=44&Itemid=65
Right click “ecuflash_1433000b_win_beta.exe” and select “Run as administrator”
Follow the system prompts
Restart the computer once installed
4) Install Openport driver software
Plug the Openport cable into the computer
The hardware will be detected automatically and correct driver will be installed

For Windows 7 64bit:
Openport 2.0:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ OpenECU \ EcuFlash \ drivers \ openport 2.0 \
For Windows 7 32bit:
Openport 2.0:
C: \ Program Files \ OpenECU \ EcuFlash \ drivers \ openport 2.0 \
Disconnect the Openport cable and restart the computer once the driver software is installed
Plug your Openport cable into the EXACT SAME USB port as before
Click connect
